It would run on fuel and with the HG20 engine created by the Ronn Ford Motor Company, it simultaneously uses hydrogen. It was eco friendly. But unlike any other eco friendly vehicle on the market - this car was hot! And the world took notice:
In 2006 Independent engineer and entrepreneur Ronn Ford set out to create an amazing machine. He would build a super sexy, super fast - Eco Friendly Car. And he was going to do it in 6 months. He would turn the automotive industry on its head.
6 months later the Scorpion was born.
It would run on fuel and with the HG20 engine created by the Ronn Ford Motor Company, it simultaneously use hydrogyn. It was eco friendly. But unlike any other eco friendly vehicle on the market - this car was hot!
And the world took notice:
Governer Schwartznegger had to check it out! Hollywood called! Clients from Arab Sheiks to Football players to DotCom millionaires jostled to put down a deposit and make an order.
Ronn’s Scorpion was the talk of the Barret Jackson Car Auction and was the number one feature at Sema, the world’s largest automotive show. Ronn was
on top of the world.
And then the stock market crashed...
Every down payment was cancelled. Government funding was pulled. The banks turned their backs. Ronn Ford was left in the cold.
He packed his bags and went back to Texas.
But like every cowboy knows, when you fall off that horse, the only thing you can do is get right back on and ride away.
Ronn Ford is a dreamer. When the scorpion dream was crushed, Ronn dreamt of an even bigger feat. Based in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona Ronn Ford Motor company is now developing the worlds first echo friendly Super Car, the Phoenix. But dreamers need cold hard cash and real skill to actually build and sell sexy cars.
And that’s what Phoenix rising is all about.
In every episode the clash between romantic ideology, bare bone business needs, and sophisticated technologies play out through each of their championing characters.
Ronn relies on a team of slick and sophisticated sales guys to find the money it takes to build. Whether its through investments or down-payments from wealthy clients, these guys are constantly on the move trying to expose the Phoenix to the world as they generate much needed buzz. This includes meeting with Arab Sheiks, NFL players, Hollywood stars and dot.com millionaires.
Ronn Ford may think of the Phoenix as a glorious piece of art, but Van Gogh never made anything move from zero to 100 in less than a minute. The mechanics at Ronn Ford Motor company did! Building a car is all about engineering, mechanics and technology. It’s the kind of unforgiving science that quickly exposes mis- takes and bad methodology. In every episode the battle between the mechanic team and the sales team comes to the forefront. Clients demands, impossible promises and a technology that is on the cusp of a breakthrough but is still untested.
